Don't lose your dreams to protect your days

After 4 days of city life we’re leaving Seattle today, with a heavy heart though! We had such a wonderful time thanks to our new friend Michele. She lives in a little house up a steep hill a couple of blocks away from the space needle. She welcomed us with open arms and both Heinz and me were grateful and appreciated her hospitality and her warm heart!

It took Heinz just about 2 days to work on the bikes, oil change, water pump change, adjust the valves etc. In the meantime I cleaned the other things, did laundry, spent some hours at the laundromat to wash the sleeping bags etc.

I did some exploring while Heinz worked on the bikes, strolled through the city, went to the Museum of History and Industry, passed all the main offices of Google, amazon and ( my good friends, hi,hi) Bill and Melinda Gates.. oh not to forget Starbucks, yep they are all here.

I went to the pike place market, once by myself, once with Heinz where vendors throw fish ( before they pack it! Honestly!) and you can buy whatever your heart desires! We took a ferry ride to West Seattle, where life is a bit slower paced and people relax on the beach, we got to see Seattle at night, saw the marina ( or at least one of many!) and enjoyed the rides with Michele in her awesome VW convertible. We even went to a motorcycle meeting last night. What a treat!

So, for a change we had a good dose of city life and… it was great!

Today it’s off to Bremerton with the ferry and then get to the pacific coast and go south from there.

We had a wonderful time, lots of laughs, good food and of course good beer!

Michele has been, no not like a mother, more like a sis’ to us. It was freaking awesome, dude!

Love following your adventures. The boys are having a great summer with the Skorpions (well… Mateo was up ’til his untimely ankle sprain). Can’t believe we’ve only got a month to go…
